About me

Hi, I’m Clara Weston. I grew up in Bristol, studied in Bologna and have spent most of my holidays since then in front of monuments, cathedrals and museums, usually after working out which of a dozen tickets actually gets me in.

I started this site because booking a ticket for a famous sight is more confusing than it should be. One monument can sell a standard entry, a timed slot, a skip-the-line ticket, a guided tour with entry, a night visit, an upgrade to a special area and a city pass that includes it. The booking sites list them one by one, but nobody puts them side by side.

So that’s what I do here. For every attraction I:

• compare every ticket and tour that includes entry, by price, what’s included, which areas you can see, language, rating, number of reviews and cancellation policy;
• write down the facts that decide the visit: opening hours, last entry, how long you need inside, where the entrances are and the quietest time to go;
• tell you which ticket I’d book and why, depending on whether you want the cheapest entry, no queue, a guide, or access to the parts most visitors miss.

How I choose what I recommend

I look at the numbers first: the price, what each ticket includes, how recent and how good the reviews are, and how flexible the cancellation is. Then I look at the visit itself: which areas the ticket opens, how long the guide stays with you, and what time of day the crowds thin out. A cheap ticket is no deal if it leaves out the part you came to see.

How this site makes money

Some links on this site are affiliate links, mainly to GetYourGuide. If you book through them I may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes which ticket I recommend.
