Sky Garden Tickets – Sky Garden Early Access with Pastry and Hot Drink

Sky Garden tickets are free: entry to the public garden costs nothing when you book on the official site, skygarden.london. The paid Sky Garden tickets on GetYourGuide start at $18 for early access with a pastry and hot drink, which is also the most-reviewed at 4.1 stars from 1,173 reviews. The other three add a breakfast, a set dinner or a Music Night champagne. If you can book ahead, I’d take the free slot; if you want breakfast built in, I’d pick the $18 early-access ticket.

I compared all four Sky Garden tickets you can book on GetYourGuide today. None of them is a plain entry ticket, because the garden itself needs none. Each one pairs the entry with food, a drink or an event, all four come from the same operator, Vox City Walks, and every one is non-refundable. Prices are in US dollars and come from the listings, checked in November 2026. The links that open GetYourGuide are affiliate links (more on that on my about page).

Sky Garden Tickets at a Glance

Here are the Sky Garden tickets side by side, with the free option first so you can see what the paid ones add.

What Details
Official entry Free, booked at skygarden.london; slots released on Mondays three weeks ahead; free walk-ins subject to availability
Paid tickets 4 bundles on GetYourGuide: pastry and hot drink, breakfast, set dinner, Music Night
Price range $18 (early access with pastry) to $44 (entry with set menu)
Time to allow 2 hours on the listings; the official public ticket is valid for 1 hour
Cancellation All four paid tickets are non-refundable
Address 1 Sky Garden Walk, London EC3M 8AF (per Google Maps)
Google Maps rating 4.6 from 79,136 reviews

The big difference is not what you see, because the view from the garden is the same on every ticket. It is what comes with the visit: an early slot, a pastry, a sit-down meal or live music. I take the four in turn below. Across all Sky Garden tickets, the rating spread is narrow, from 3.8 to 4.1 stars, so price and the extra you want should decide it.

Sky Garden Entry Tickets

A Sky Garden entry ticket is free from the venue and paid when it comes inside a bundle, so the useful question is what the extra money buys. The Sky Garden entry tickets I compared all include the access ticket plus something extra, and two of them send you to The Larch restaurant, which sits opposite the entrance on Fenchurch Street rather than inside the building.

The one that comes closest to a plain entry ticket with a meal is the breakfast option. It includes one main course, a pastry or muffin, and tea and coffee at The Larch, followed by the Sky Garden access ticket, Wi-Fi at the garden and an audio guide app in five languages. The listing says the outdoor terrace is not included and will be closed during the visit.

“Amazing. The vista made me emotional! The best thing to do in London.” – GetYourGuide review

Reviewers split on the restaurant more than the view. One calls the Larch breakfast fresh and the staff friendly, while another says it did not seem special and that they could have bought pastries inside the garden. I would treat the breakfast as a pleasant extra and not the reason to book.

Sky Garden Tickets and Prices

The honest price of Sky Garden tickets is zero for the entry and $18 to $44 for the bundles. Prices on the paid listings are per person, and the cheapest is the early-access ticket at $18, followed by the $29 Music Night ticket, the $33 breakfast and the $44 set dinner.

Because a bundle is a per-person price, a group pays quickly. The calculator below shows the total for your party size on any of the four.

Check dates and prices

Prices are the lowest per-person prices on GetYourGuide when I last checked; the final price depends on the date, time slot and age.

What the reseller price pays for is convenience and food, so compare it with what you would spend anyway. Sky Garden tickets cost nothing at the door of the official site, so a pastry and a hot drink for $18 is fair if you want breakfast with the view. A $44 set menu is the dearest, and one reviewer called the dinner a little overpriced while still rating the evening positive. A Music Night reviewer wrote that you can get in free if you book direct, so the ticket felt overpriced. I think that is a fair warning.

Sky Garden Tour

There is no guided Sky Garden tour among the tickets I compared. The listings say a guided tour is not included in any of the four. What you get instead is a downloadable audio tour app, with commentary in English, French, Spanish, German and Italian on most of them and Chinese on the early-access ticket, so you can listen to the view at your own pace. Bring your own headphones, because the listings say headsets and devices are not included.

If you want a person to talk you through the skyline, the practical choice is to book the free slot and add a separate walking tour of the City of London on another day. The garden is a viewing platform with plants, so a one-hour slot with an audio app covers it. I would not pay extra for a Sky Garden tour that promises more than the app does.

Sky Garden Tickets Free

Free Sky Garden tickets are real and they come from the venue. The official FAQ says free tickets are released every Monday morning, excluding bank holidays, three weeks in advance for the whole week, and that date changes cannot be made on the day. It also says all public tickets are valid for an hour.

Walk-ins are accepted too. The same page says Sky Garden takes free walk-ins daily, subject to availability, and tells you to ask the team at the door. I would not plan a short London trip around a walk-in, but it works as a fallback on a quiet weekday. If you hold free Sky Garden tickets, check the date on them twice, because they cannot be changed on the day.

The official ticketed hours for the public garden are 10 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday and 11 am to 9 pm at weekends and bank holidays, per the getting here page. Check this before you pick a date, because the venue also lists longer general hours, and Google Maps shows 8 am to midnight for most days.

The official site currently carries a notice that visitor capacity is temporarily reduced because a visitor lift is out of service, and that some ticket holders may not get in at their booked time. If your plans are flexible, the venue suggests rebooking for a later date.

Sky Garden Tickets London

The Sky Garden ticket with a London dinner is the most expensive bundle, and the weakest fit for most visitors. It is the leftover of the four: it does not stand out on rating, price or access, so I would book it only if you already planned a meal at The Larch.

The ticket includes a two-course Italian set meal with gelato or sorbet, access to Sky Garden and access to Sky Garden Music Night on days that run it, plus the audio app. Alcoholic and soft drinks, tips and the evening terrace are not included. It is for adults only, and the listing says children cannot enter Sky Garden in the evening, which matches the official rule about under-16s in late hours.

“Else thoroughly enjoyed all Of it .. but the lights were fantastic to see next time we will dine at the Restaurant in the Sky Garden !! Awesome” – GetYourGuide review

The reviews are warm about the view and the staff, and mixed on value. At 3.8 stars it is the lowest-rated of the four, tied with the Music Night ticket, so I’d rather spend the $44 on a meal I chose myself and take a free slot for the garden. Paid Sky Garden tickets in London make most sense when the meal is the plan and the view is the bonus.

Sky Garden Tickets Free Online

Booking Sky Garden tickets online is where most people start, and the free official route and the $18 early-access ticket answer the same problem: getting in at a time you can plan for. The early-access ticket includes entry to the garden before the standard crowds, one pastry and one hot drink, and the audio app.

“wonderful views in the morning one side of the building glass windows are foggy and dewy so it can be hard to see out sometimes” – GetYourGuide review

Reviewers of this ticket describe arriving around 8 am and being let straight in, then seeing the coffee queue grow within half an hour. One says they spent about 90 minutes there, and another was disappointed that the outdoor terrace stayed closed until later in the morning. That matches the listing, which says the terrace is not included.

Peaceful bliss from above the clouds, with a gorgeous coffee
— GetYourGuide reviewer

The ticket is also what I would pick when the free slots for your week are gone. Among the paid Sky Garden tickets it is the one with the least to regret, because at $18 you are not paying much for the bundle. It is the cheapest, it has the most reviews, and the morning light helps the photos.

Is Sky Garden Worth It at Night

Sky Garden at night is worth it if the draw is the lit-up skyline and a drink, and less so if you want a seat. The Music Night ticket is the only evening product here: a ticket to Sky Garden Music Nights with DJ sets or live music, standing access, a glass of champagne with a non-alcoholic option, Wi-Fi and the audio app. Tables and seating are first come, first served, and the terrace is not included.

“La experiencia fue buena y muy bien atendido ante las consultas previas al evento, pero el precio me pareció elevado.” – GetYourGuide review

The review pattern is cautious. Several reviewers like the view, but others call the price high, the room dark, and the seating mostly reserved. One reviewer had expected live music and did not like the style. I’d choose this ticket for a celebration, not as the cheapest way to see the night view. Of all the Sky Garden tickets here, it is the only one where the atmosphere is the product, so read the reviews before you pay.

Night visits come with an age rule. The official FAQ says children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult during public hours, and under-16s cannot enter during late evening hours. For the light, Open-Meteo’s historical data for 2025 puts sunset in London at 16:11 in November and 21:19 in June, so a summer evening visit with Sky Garden tickets is a much later plan than a winter one (Open-Meteo).

Opening Hours and Getting There

The official ticketed hours are 10 am to 6 pm on weekdays and 11 am to 9 pm at weekends, and the nearest Tube station is Monument, about 4 minutes on foot by my estimate. I wrote out the full hours, the best time to go and every route in the Sky Garden opening hours and visitor guide.

Which Ticket Fits You

Here is every one of the paid Sky Garden tickets in one table. All four are non-refundable and bundle the access with something extra.

Ticket Kind Price from Duration What is included Best for
Early Access with Pastry and Hot Drink Ticket $18 2 hours Early entry, pastry, hot drink, audio app A morning visit on one budget
Music Night Ticket and Glass of Fizz Tour with ticket $29 2 hours Music Night, glass of champagne, standing access A celebration evening
Ticket with Breakfast at The Larch Ticket $33 2 hours Main course, pastry, drinks at The Larch, garden access A sit-down breakfast first
Entry with Set Menu at The Larch Ticket $44 2 hours Two-course set meal, garden access, audio app Dinner and the view together

None of these Sky Garden tickets is a guided tour, and there are no trip-type pages for Sky Garden, so the table above is the whole comparison. Because every option is non-refundable, I’d confirm your date and your party size before booking any of them. For the free option, the official site is the place to start.

Near Sky Garden

The Tower of London is about 0.8 km away, roughly a 10-minute walk, and it has its own ticket page on this site. London Wall is about 0.7 km, around 9 minutes, with a surviving stretch of the old city wall. St. Paul’s Cathedral is about 1.4 km, near 17 minutes. The London Eye is across the river at about 3.4 km, close to 43 minutes on foot, so most people take the Tube. How I’d Choose

Here is how I’d pick among the Sky Garden tickets, by the kind of visitor, and which of the tickets for Sky Garden I would skip.

Frequently asked questions

How can I get Sky Garden tickets?

The official route is free: you book a slot on skygarden.london, and the site says free tickets are released every Monday morning, three weeks in advance, for the whole week. Walk-ins are also accepted daily, subject to availability. The paid options I compared on GetYourGuide start at $18 and bundle the entry with a pastry, a meal or a music night.

Are Sky Garden tickets really free?

Yes, per the official FAQ: public tickets cost nothing and are valid for one hour. The GetYourGuide products are not the price of getting in. They are bundles with a breakfast pastry, a set menu or a glass of champagne, priced from $18 to $44, and all four are non-refundable.

How far in advance should I get Sky Garden tickets?

The official site releases free tickets every Monday morning (bank holidays excluded) three weeks ahead for the whole week, so the earliest you can book a given day is about three weeks before it. If a date is close and the slots are gone, a bundle with a meal or an early-access slot is the paid fallback.

Can you just go for a drink at the Sky Garden?

Sky Garden has bars and restaurants, and the official site says restaurant bookings give access to the garden even when standard tickets are sold out. For a drink with the view, the $29 Music Night ticket includes a glass of champagne or a non-alcoholic option, standing access and a DJ or live music.

Can I wear jeans to Sky Garden?

The official FAQ describes a smart casual dress code for evening bookings from 6 pm in Darwin Restaurant and the Sky Garden Bars, and bans flip-flops, baseball caps and male vest tops in the restaurants. It does not set a rule for jeans in the public garden during the day, so check skygarden.london before an evening visit.

How long can I stay at the Sky Garden?

Per the official FAQ, all public tickets are valid for an hour. The GetYourGuide listings say two hours, which is the allowance for the whole bundle including the meal or drink. Reviewers of the early-access ticket mention staying about 90 minutes.

Which is better, the Shard or the Sky Garden?

The two are different kinds of visit. Sky Garden is a free-to-enter public garden with bars, and I did not compare the Shard's paid viewing ticket here. I'd pick Sky Garden when you want the view at no entry cost and are happy to book a slot ahead.

Is Sky Garden worth it at night?

Reviewers of the Music Night ticket praise the evening views and music but call the price high and the room dark, and some could not get a table. The evening is adults only for the paid bundles, and the official site says under-16s cannot enter during the late evening hours.
