Tower of London Tickets – Tower of London and Crown Jewels Exhibition Ticket

London attraction tickets are easier to buy once you know three things: the Tower of London at $51 and the London Eye at $39 are the two I’d book first, the British Museum, the Natural History Museum and Sky Garden are free to enter, and the three day trips (Windsor Castle, the Warner Bros. studio and Oxford’s Bodleian Library) need a half or full day each. I compared all 17 sights below. Not sure a pass pays off? My London city pass comparison does the arithmetic.

London Attraction Tickets at a Glance

Prices are the lowest GetYourGuide listing for each sight, in US dollars, so a few “from” prices are cruises, walks or tours rather than a plain entry. The text below names the cheapest real entry ticket.

Which London Attraction Tickets to Book First

If you only buy tickets for a few London attractions, buy the ones that sell out or run on timed slots. Those are the Tower of London, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s and The Shard. Tickets for the free sights are about reserving a time, not paying. For a first trip I’d lock in the Tower of London at $51, because it is the most reviewed Tower of London ticket, with 33,523 reviews, and the Crown Jewels are why most visitors go. The official site, hrp.org.uk, sells an adult ticket from 37 pounds, so the GetYourGuide price buys a dollar-denominated booking, not a discount.

Royal and Historic London

The royal end of London attraction tickets is the most seasonal, so check dates first. The Tower of London and Tower Bridge are five minutes apart on foot, so I treat them as one morning. Beyond the fortress, the Tower Bridge tickets page covers an exhibition with a glass floor, and the official site, towerbridge.org.uk, sells adult tickets at 18 pounds. On GetYourGuide the $24 entry ticket is the most reviewed, at 4.7 from 18,913 reviews. Walking across the bridge costs nothing.

Buckingham Palace is a different kind of ticket, because the State Rooms open only in summer. The Royal Collection Trust, at rct.uk, sells them from 35 pounds in advance for 8 July to 26 September 2027. Out of season, what you can book are walking tours of the Changing of the Guard, from $24, which do not include entry. If you want the full Buckingham Palace tickets with State Rooms, the listings start at $51. The most-reviewed Buckingham Palace tour at $25 has 4,891 reviews.

“Joanne was our tour guide and she was very engaging and extremely helpful. She was very sweet and made the tour fun. The tour was definitely worth the money. Highly would recommend.” – GetYourGuide review

Westminster Abbey sits in the same walk as Parliament. Official adult tickets are 32 pounds at westminster-abbey.org, and the GetYourGuide entry ticket costs $43, with a multimedia guide and free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead. For a first visit I’d book it, and I’d only add a guide if you want the coronation history explained. Read the Westminster Abbey tickets page before picking between the ten options.

“Tons of people, but moving orderly. Very helpful audioguide. Amazing experience if you can appreciate beauty and history.” – GetYourGuide review

Westminster, Big Ben and Parliament

Big Ben is the one London landmark where the ticket and the sight do not match. No GetYourGuide listing sells entry to the tower, because UK Parliament runs the tower tour, which Google lists at 55 pounds for an adult (parliament.uk/bigben). What you can book are walks, from $19, and my pick, the $119 Walks tour that combines Big Ben from outside with Westminster Abbey entry and the Guard change. The Houses of Parliament tickets are two audio or guided options, $41 and $79. Watching a debate is free, per the official Parliament visiting page.

Views over the Thames

London has four proper viewpoints, and I’d pick two of them for your attraction tickets in London. The London Eye is the classic ride. The Shard is the highest, and the plain View from The Shard entry costs $36, 4.5 from 10,389 reviews; a champagne version is $49 and four walking tours that include the viewing gallery run $76 to $113. The Shard tickets page compares them.

Sky Garden is free if you book a slot on the official site, skygarden.london. Tickets are released every Monday morning, three weeks ahead. The paid Sky Garden tickets on GetYourGuide start at $18 for early access with a pastry and hot drink, and I’d take the free slot unless you want breakfast built in. St Paul’s Cathedral is the fourth: the Cathedral sells tickets from 27 pounds at stpauls.co.uk, and the $36 entry on GetYourGuide is the most reviewed, at 4.7 from 11,596 reviews. See the St Paul’s Cathedral tickets page for the boat bundles.

Museums

The two big museums need no entry fee, which changes how you buy London attraction tickets: you pay for a guide or a slot, never for the door. General entry to the British Museum is free, and you reserve a timed slot on britishmuseum.org. What GetYourGuide sells are guided tours with priority entry, from a $7 express tour to the $39 Best Tours London guide, 4.9 from 1,715 reviews. The British Museum tickets page sorts the ten tours. The Natural History Museum is the same model: the official site, nhm.ac.uk, says galleries are free, and the Natural History Museum tickets are small-group tours and audio guides, from $7.

Shows and Dark History

Madame Tussauds London is the wax-figure attraction. The entry ticket is $36, 4.6 from 24,366 reviews, with Fast Track at $49. The official site lists a standard ticket from 27 pounds, and the Madame Tussauds tickets page covers the five-attraction pass at $79. The London Dungeon is the opposite sort of ticket. I found only three on GetYourGuide, starting at $65 for a combo with the London Eye, while the official site, thedungeons.com, sells tickets from 27 pounds. See the London Dungeon tickets page for the audio walk bundle at $85.

Day Trips from London

Three sights sit outside the city, and none is a walk from the others. London attraction tickets for these cost more, because the price includes a half or full day. Windsor Castle is the easiest: the Windsor Castle tickets start at a $43 admission ticket, 4.7 from 8,291 reviews, and Royal Collection Trust prices it at 32 pounds in advance at rct.uk. The $52 Evan Evans coach adds the transport from London.

The Harry Potter studio tour is a half-day-plus. The cheapest Warner Bros. Studio London bundle is $113 for a timed entrance with a Thames cruise but no transport to the studio, and the official site, wbstudiotour.co.uk, lists an adult ticket at 58.50 pounds for 2026. The most reviewed is the $123 branded coach from Victoria. Oxford’s Bodleian Library is the longest trip. The Bodleian sells its own tours from 3 pounds (visit.bodleian.ox.ac.uk), and the Bodleian Library tickets page compares the $47 Harry Potter walking tour with the $200 day trip from London.

Official Sites or GetYourGuide for London Attraction Tickets

Most of the big sights sell their own tickets, so London attraction tickets come from two kinds of seller: the attraction itself, and GetYourGuide. The official price is usually the lower one on paper. The table sets the official adult prices I could read next to the plain entry ticket on GetYourGuide.

Attraction Official adult price Plain entry on GetYourGuide
Tower of London From 37 pounds $51
London Eye From 29 pounds online $39
Westminster Abbey 32 pounds $43
Tower Bridge 18 pounds $24
St Paul’s Cathedral From 27 pounds $36
Windsor Castle 32 pounds in advance, 36 on the day $43
Madame Tussauds London From 27 pounds $36
The London Dungeon From 27 pounds $65 (combo with the Eye)

I do not hide the gap. When you want a plain ticket and your own plan, the official site is where I’d start your London attraction tickets. GetYourGuide earns its price when the listing adds something: a guide, a combo with a second sight, a coach from the city, or free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead. That is why I rank the tour-with-entry products above the plain ticket for Westminster, the British Museum and the Warner Bros. studio, and why I leave the plain entry on top for the Tower and Windsor Castle.

What to Check Before You Book

Three things decide whether a ticket is the right one. First, read what the listing includes: a Buckingham Palace walking tour from $24 does not include State Rooms entry, a Big Ben walk does not include the tower, and no British Museum ticket buys general admission. Second, check the date: the State Rooms open from 8 July to 26 September 2027, and Parliament tours run on Saturdays and in recess, so a London trip in another month needs a different plan. Third, check cancellation. The St Paul’s, Westminster Abbey and Warner Bros. listings I compared can be cancelled up to 24 hours ahead for a full refund, but a few of the cabaret-style tickets elsewhere cannot, so I read each product’s terms before I recommend it.

If you are buying several London attractions tickets for one trip, buy them in the order you will use them and keep the dates apart: the Tower of London and Tower Bridge on one morning, Westminster and the Eye on another. My London city pass page prices a plan against the passes, and each sight’s tickets page above links the opening hours guide for the day you pick.

Who These London Attraction Tickets Suit

Short trip, first visit: the Tower of London, the London Eye and Westminster Abbey are the London attractions tickets I’d buy, about $133 for the three before any extras. Repeat visitor: skip the plain tickets and look at the guided versions, such as the British Museum tour at $39. On a budget: lean on the free sights, since London attractions tickets for the museums, Sky Garden and the Parliament debates cost nothing, then pay for one view and one palace. With children: the Eye, Madame Tussauds and the Warner Bros. studio coach give the most for the money, and the attraction tickets in London that I would skip for small children are the dark-history ones such as The London Dungeon.

Those three first-visit picks add up as $51 for the Tower, $39 for the Eye and $43 for the Abbey: $133. If that sum is more than you wanted to spend, drop the Abbey and keep the free Sky Garden slot for the view.

Which London Attraction Tickets to Book by Trip Length

One day: Tower of London first thing, Tower Bridge next door, then St Paul’s or The Shard for the view. That is about $111 for the Tower, the Tower Bridge entry and one view ticket. Two days: add Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament area and the London Eye on a second day, for $82 across the Abbey and the Eye. Three days: add a museum morning at the British Museum and a day trip, either Windsor Castle at $43 or the Warner Bros. coach at $123. My London attractions map lays the same routes out with walking times between the sights.

Free Attractions in London

Free does not mean unticketed. The British Museum and the Natural History Museum have free general entry, Sky Garden is free on a booked slot, you can watch a debate at the Houses of Parliament, and the walk across Tower Bridge and the view of Buckingham Palace cost nothing. My free attractions in London page lists the rest with their cited rules.

How I’d Choose London Attraction Tickets

Frequently asked questions

Where is the best place to buy tickets for London attractions?

For the big paid sights, the official site is the cheapest start: the Tower of London from 37 pounds, the London Eye from 29 pounds and Westminster Abbey at 32 pounds. I book on GetYourGuide when I want a guide, a combo or free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead, and I read each listing's inclusions first.

What attractions do I need tickets for in London?

Book ahead for the Tower of London, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's, The Shard, Tower Bridge's exhibition, Madame Tussauds, The London Dungeon, Windsor Castle and the Warner Bros. studio tour. The British Museum and the Natural History Museum are free, but I would still reserve a timed slot where the official site offers one.

What are 7 places to visit in London for free?

The British Museum and the Natural History Museum have free general entry. Sky Garden is free on the official site if you book a slot. You can watch a debate at the Houses of Parliament for free, walk across Tower Bridge, and see Buckingham Palace and Big Ben from outside. My free page lists the rest.

What are the best deals for London attractions packages?

The cheapest bundles I found are the London Eye combos with Madame Tussauds or SEA LIFE at $65 to $72, against $75 for the Eye and Madame Tussauds bought separately, and a five-attraction pass with Madame Tussauds at $79. Whether a city pass pays off depends on your plan, which my pass page works through.

Which London attraction tickets should I book first?

Book the ones with timed entry and the highest demand: the Tower of London at $51, the London Eye at $39 and Westminster Abbey at $43 on GetYourGuide. Buckingham Palace's State Rooms open only in summer (8 July to 26 September 2027), so plan around those dates if you want to go inside.

Can I visit Windsor Castle, Warner Bros. Studio or Oxford in a day from London?

Yes. Windsor Castle has a $43 admission ticket and $52 coach option from London. The Warner Bros. studio tour has a $123 branded coach from Victoria, 4.7 from 20,213 reviews. Oxford's Bodleian Library is a $200 day trip from London or a $47 walking tour once you arrive.

What is the cheapest London attraction ticket?

The lowest price in my data is $7, for a guided express tour of the British Museum and a Natural History Museum tour with reserved entry. Both museums are free to enter, so those $7 tickets buy a guide, not admission. The cheapest actual entry fee I found is $24 for Tower Bridge.
