London Eye Tickets – The London Eye Entry Ticket

The cheapest London Eye ticket on GetYourGuide is the $39 entry ticket, and it is also the most reviewed, at 4.6 stars from 41,035 reviews. Combos with Madame Tussauds or SEA LIFE cost $65 to $72, and the official site, londoneye.com, sells tickets from 29 pounds online. For a first visit I’d book the entry ticket with the Fast Track option.

I compared all 10 London Eye tickets you can book on GetYourGuide right now. Two are plain or fast-track entry, three are combos with other attractions, one is a pass for 100+ attractions, one is a river cruise with an optional Eye ticket, and three are tours that include the ride. Prices are in US dollars and come from the listings, checked in November 2026. The links that open GetYourGuide are affiliate links (more on that on my about page).

London Eye Tickets and Prices

London Eye tickets and prices start with the entry ticket from the operator, MEG, which also runs the official site. At $39 it is the cheapest ticket that includes the ride, and it is the most reviewed London Eye ticket in this set with 41,035 reviews averaging 4.6. The listing gives you standard or fast-track admission depending on the option you book, and it includes a free London Eye guide you can download for iOS and Android. The ride takes about 30 minutes and you can cancel up to 24 hours ahead for a full refund. The meeting point depends on the option, and the listing gives the South Bank address at 30 The Queen’s Walk.

“Perfect experience! I recommend that. It is a must when you go in England.” – GetYourGuide review

I would book these London Eye tickets as soon as you know your date.

One reviewer put it plainly, and it matches the pattern I saw across the entry listings, where the view is praised more than the queue.

We went on an overcast day and the view and experience was still exceptional. Highly recommend!
— GetYourGuide reviewer

A complaint I would flag is that one reviewer arrived to be told the wheel was not working and had to come back an hour later. Pick a ticket with the 24-hour cancellation window and keep some flexibility in your day.

London Eye ticket prices go up when you add people, so here is the group calculator for any ticket in this comparison.

Check dates and prices

Prices are the lowest per-person prices on GetYourGuide when I last checked; the final price depends on the date, time slot and age.

The official site shows the same ticket at 39 pounds on the day, so the gap between online and walk-up is 10 pounds per adult. The official page also lists children aged 2 to 15 from 26 pounds online, and under 2s free. I could not find a published rule on how far ahead to book, so the sensible approach is to pick your date and book your London Eye tickets as soon as you know it.

Skip-the-Line London Eye Tickets

Skip-the-line London Eye tickets are a specific thing at this attraction: the official site sells a Fast Track ticket with priority entry, and a Flexi Fast Track for a visit at any time on your chosen day. The GetYourGuide listing I would look at for combining the wheel with other attractions is the Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE combo at $72, scoring 4.7 from 3,477 reviews. It includes entry to the London Eye, Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE, is valid for 7 days, and can be cancelled up to 24 hours before. The voucher is presented on arrival at Madame Tussauds on Marylebone Road, so it is not an Eye-first ticket. The listing does not say it includes fast-track entry at the Eye, so don’t book it as a queue-skipper for the wheel.

“London Eye was nice. Combo ticket can give more discount.” – GetYourGuide review

A reviewer who did all three attractions in one day said they finished in 6 hours on a Monday morning because the crowds were small, and that it was tiring. That is a fair warning: the 7-day validity means you do not have to cram it into a day.

London Eye Admission Tickets

London Eye admission tickets can also come inside a city pass, and the London Pass from Go City is the broadest one here at $140. It gives access to 100+ London attractions including the Tower of London, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Madame Tussauds and The Shard, valid for 1 to 10 days, and comes with an app that has an itinerary planner and city map. It scores 4.3 from 3,137 reviews, the lowest of the rated set, and you scan the pass at the gate or ticket office to redeem credits. The maths only works if you plan to visit many of the attractions it covers, because the price is for the whole bundle and the London Eye is one entry among them.

“The pass was very easy to use and accepted for most of the activities we wanted. Only a few required booking times so it's easy to plan around them.” – GetYourGuide review

A reviewer noted that only a few attractions needed a booked time, which makes planning easier. I would still book the London Eye slot early.

London Eye Tour

A London Eye tour here is a ride that ends a walking tour, and there is no guided commentary on the wheel itself in these listings. The Harry Potter walking tour with a London Eye entry ticket costs $112. It runs 4.5 hours, includes a 3-hour walking tour of film locations plus a 30-minute ride on the wheel, and meets at King’s Cross Station in front of the stairs to the Parcel Yard. The stops include the Platform 9 3/4 shop, Cecil Court, Goodwin’s Court, Palace Theatre, Leicester Square, Westminster and London Bridge. It is rated 5.0, but from only 4 reviews, so treat the score with caution. The listing says two Tube journeys, about 6 pounds, are not included, and it runs in English.

This London Eye tour is really a Potter tour with an Eye ticket attached, so only book it if the film locations are the point. I compare all three tours that include the wheel on my London Eye tours page.

London Eye Tickets 2 for 1

London Eye tickets 2 for 1 is a popular search, and the honest answer is that I could not find a 2-for-1 deal on the official ticket page I read. What that page does list is combinations, such as the London Eye with Madame Tussauds at 49 pounds online, where the page shows the separate-purchase total at 78 pounds. A bundle is the closest thing to two for one that I can confirm, and the London Eye tickets in this set that come closest are the combos. Any other 2-for-1 offer, including ones tied to rail tickets, is something I did not verify, so check the terms before you rely on one.

The card in this section is a leftover from my set and not a 2-for-1 at all: a 5-hour Westminster walking tour with a London Eye ticket at $115. The guide leads a small group of 10 to 15 guests and the stops are Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Horse Guards Parade, 10 Downing Street, Parliament Square and Westminster Abbey, ending at the wheel. It meets outside the Ritz hotel on Piccadilly, near Green Park station. It has a 5.0 rating, but from only 2 reviews.

London Eye Tickets Fast Track

London Eye tickets with fast track are the quickest way to reduce waiting. The official ticket page says that standard tickets are for a selected timeslot and that Fast Track adds priority entry with shorter waits, from the same 29 pounds online price. The Flexi Fast Track costs 49 pounds online and lets you go at any time on your chosen day through a dedicated entrance. On GetYourGuide, the entry ticket card above offers standard or fast-track admission depending on the option you book, so look at the options on that listing before you pay for London Eye tickets.

I’d choose Fast Track London Eye tickets in school holidays, on Saturdays and Sundays, and on any day when you cannot flex your slot. A mid-week winter slot probably doesn’t need it, but that is my judgement, not a figure from the operator.

London Eye Tickets Discount

London Eye tickets at a discount usually mean one of two things: book online rather than at the door, or buy a combo. The champagne ticket is not a discount at all, and I am putting it here because it is a leftover from my allocation rather than a bargain. At $65 the champagne experience includes fast-track entrance, a glass of Moët and Chandon Impérial Brut and a personal London Eye host. It scores 4.9 from 922 reviews, the best score in the set, and the meeting point is the VIP desk at County Hall. The ride takes 30 minutes and you can cancel up to 24 hours ahead.

Very much worth the time and the VIP experience is a great value.

If you want a real saving, the cheapest London Eye tickets are the $39 entry ticket and the combos, which the official site prices at 49 pounds online against 78 pounds bought separately.

London Eye Tickets 2 for 1 Price

London Eye tickets 2 for 1 price searches are about what two attractions cost together, and the SEA LIFE and London Eye combo at $65 is the plainest answer. It includes an admission ticket to SEA LIFE London Aquarium and one to the London Eye, is rated 4.6 from 1,187 reviews, and is valid for 90 days according to the listing. Food and drink, tips and hotel pickup are not included. For SEA LIFE you go to the Ticket Holder’s Entrance at your booked time, and for the Eye you join the standard entrance (queue A) 30 minutes before your time slot, which are two different arrangements to remember on the day.

London Eye tickets for a family of 4 add up quickly. “Excellent experience. Although we were late due to traffic, there were no issues with the tickets, and we all enjoyed both attractions.” – GetYourGuide review

Pushchairs are allowed on the wheel if they are folded before boarding, per the official security page, and large bags and suitcases are not allowed. Plan for that if you are arriving with luggage.

Is the London Eye Worth It?

Is the London Eye worth it comes up often in forum threads, and my answer is that it is worth it as a first-visit view, not as an all-day plan. The ride is about 30 minutes and the wheel is 135 m tall per Wikidata. It carries more than 3 million visitors a year per Wikipedia and is the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel. The reviewer praise is for the view, even in grey weather.

The card in this section is not a London Eye ticket for most visitors: the Paris to London rail tour from Evan Evans Tours at $399. It is a 13-hour day trip from Gare du Nord with round-trip Eurostar tickets, a hop-on hop-off bus ticket and admission to the London Eye, and it is non-refundable. The listing has no rating or reviews yet, and it does not include a guide, lunch or other attraction entrances. It only makes sense if you are coming from Paris for a single day.

Is the London Eye Worth It at Night?

The London Eye is worth doing in the evening if you want the city lit, and a winter visit puts that within easy reach. Open-Meteo weather data for 2025 shows sunset at about 4:11 pm in November and 4:21 pm in January, so a late-afternoon slot takes you from daylight into the dark in one 30-minute ride. The official site shows opening until 8:30 pm on Saturdays, and Google Maps shows the same for Fridays. Other days close at 6 pm, so check the day you want. I have no GetYourGuide night ticket for the wheel in my set, so the entry ticket above is the one of the London Eye tickets to book for a late slot.

Is the London Eye Fast Pass Worth It?

A fast pass for the London Eye is worth it only in busy periods, and the product to use is a Fast Track option on the entry ticket, not a city pass. The card here is a leftover that doesn’t fit the question: the Thames river cruise with an optional London Eye ticket at $21. It boards at the London Eye Pier at County Hall, lasts 45 minutes to 1.5 hours and scores 4.5 from 4,549 reviews. The $21 is the cruise alone, since the Eye ticket is an option you add. Reviewers praise the guides on the cruise as friendly and informative.

Opening Hours and Getting There

Google Maps shows the London Eye open 11 am to 6 pm Monday to Thursday and Sunday, and 10 am to 8:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The official site says it closes on Christmas Day. Waterloo station is the nearest Underground station at about 5 minutes on foot, and Westminster is about 7 minutes away, both my estimates. London Eye tickets are for a time slot, so match yours to these hours. The full hours table, last entry and the route are in my London Eye opening hours guide.

Near the London Eye

The London Eye stands on the South Bank, and the sights below are within walking distance. The times are my estimates from straight-line distance multiplied by 1.3 at 4.8 km/h. Big Ben is across Westminster Bridge, about 7 minutes away, and The London Dungeon sits in the same County Hall building, a minute or so from the wheel. Trafalgar Square is about 13 minutes, and Buckingham Palace about 25 minutes. St Paul’s Cathedral and the British Museum are each roughly 30 minutes. London Bridge is about 37 minutes on foot, and the Tower of London is about 50 minutes, so I’d take the Tube for that one. For London Eye tickets bundled with a nearby sight, Madame Tussauds is the other big name on the combos above.

How I’d Choose

Frequently asked questions

What is the cost of a ticket for the London Eye?

On GetYourGuide the plain entry ticket is $39 for 4.6 stars from 41,035 reviews, and the combos with Madame Tussauds or SEA LIFE run $65 to $72. The official site, londoneye.com, lists standard and Fast Track tickets from 29 pounds online and 39 pounds walk-up, with children aged 2 to 15 from 26 pounds online.

What is the cheapest way to buy tickets for the London Eye?

Booking online ahead is the cheapest route I could confirm: the official ticket page shows 29 pounds online against 39 pounds walk-up for a standard ticket, and says the sooner you book the more you save. The listings I compared start at $39 for the entry ticket, and a combo ticket is the cheaper way if you also want Madame Tussauds or SEA LIFE.

How far in advance to book London Eye tickets?

The official ticket page does not state a minimum or maximum, only that online prices are lower than walk-up prices and can rise when demand is high. Standard tickets are for a chosen time slot, so I'd book at least a few days ahead for a weekend, and sooner for school holidays.

Can you just turn up and go on the London Eye?

Yes, the official site sells walk-up tickets at 39 pounds for a standard ticket, against 29 pounds online. I wouldn't count on it in busy periods, because online prices are lower and the standard ticket is for a booked time slot.

Is it better to do the London Eye at day or night?

It depends on what you want to see. In winter the sun sets around 4 pm in London per Open-Meteo data, so a late-afternoon slot gives you daylight and city lights in one 30-minute ride. The official hours run to 8:30 pm on busy days, and Google Maps shows 11 am to 6 pm on others.

How long does one ride in the London Eye take?

One rotation takes about 30 minutes, which both the official ticket page and Wikipedia give. Allow more for the queue and security check, since your standard ticket is for a time slot at the entrance.

Is London Eye worth the money?

I think it is for a first visit if you pick the right ticket. The entry ticket has 4.6 stars from 41,035 GetYourGuide reviews, and reviewers praise the view even on an overcast day. If you only want a skyline photo, the free views from the South Bank will do.

How many people fit in a London Eye capsule?

Wikipedia gives up to 25 people per capsule, and the official ticket page says the wheel has 32 pods, with private pods holding 2 to 25 guests. A standard ticket puts you in a shared capsule with other guests.

Is London Eye bigger than the Eiffel Tower?

No. The London Eye is 135 m tall per Wikidata, and the Eiffel Tower is considerably taller. The London Eye was the world's tallest Ferris wheel when it opened, and it is still the tallest cantilevered observation wheel.
