Barcelona Aquarium Tickets – Barcelona Aquarium: Entry Ticket

The cheapest of the Barcelona Aquarium tickets I compared is the $33 entry ticket, which is also the most reviewed at 4.4 stars from 20,112 reviews. The only other listing is a $61 bundle that adds a phone-based audio walk through the city. The aquarium sells tickets at its own site, aquariumbcn.com, at 30 euros for ages 11 and over on the day ticket. For most visitors I’d book the $33 entry ticket.

I compared every Barcelona Aquarium ticket on GetYourGuide as of 7 November 2026, and there are only two. I expected a bus or sightseeing pass with the aquarium in it, and I found none, so this page is a short, honest comparison and not a long menu. Prices are in US dollars from the listings. The booking buttons are affiliate links, as I explain on my about page.

Barcelona Aquarium Tickets at a Glance

This table sets the two listings and the practical facts side by side.

What Details
Ticket types Entry ticket, entry plus self-guided city audio walk
Price range on GetYourGuide $33 (entry) to $61 (entry plus walk)
Official price 30 euros adult day ticket, 23 euros ages 5 to 10, per the official site
Areas Aquariums, oceanarium with an 80 metre tunnel, Planeta Aqua exhibition, per the listing
Time to allow About 1.5 to 2 hours inside (my estimate); 2.5 hours for the bundle
Address del Port Vell, Moll d’Espanya, s/n, 08039 Barcelona (per Google Maps)
Hours Open 365 days a year from 10 am; Google Maps shows closing at 7 pm Monday to Friday and 8 pm Saturday and Sunday

Google Maps rates the aquarium 4.1 from 76,493 ratings. That is lower than the 4.4 on the entry ticket, which is a normal gap between a seller’s buyers and the wider public.

Barcelona Aquarium Tickets and Prices

Barcelona Aquarium tickets and prices on GetYourGuide come down to one real choice, and this first listing is the unusual one. It is a $61 bundle from WeGoTrip USA, and it has a single review, a 5.0, so there is nothing to build a judgement on yet. The listing says the entrance ticket and a downloadable city tour both live in the WeGoTrip app, with no personal guide, no headphones and no audio tour inside the aquarium.

My pick: Only for audio-walk fans: aquarium entry plus a phone route from Port Vell to the Columbus Monument for $61. Rated 5.0 from a single review, and the aquarium visit itself has no audio guide.

This was a leftover match for the section and I treat it that way. The walk runs through the Born, Santa Maria del Mar, Ciutadella Park, the Arc de Triomf, Plaça de Catalunya and the Gothic Quarter, with stops at La Boqueria and Palau Güell, and ends at the Columbus Monument. That is a fair free-time walk, but it costs $28 more than the plain entry ticket, and the plain ticket for the aquarium is the one I’d start from. It sits under the family heading below.

Check dates and prices

Prices are the lowest per-person prices on GetYourGuide when I last checked; the final price depends on the date, time slot and age.

Skip-the-Line Barcelona Aquarium Tickets

Skip-the-line Barcelona Aquarium tickets are not a separate product here. Neither listing is sold as a fast-track pass. The only mention of queues is in the WeGoTrip bundle, whose meeting point tells you to show your phone ticket at the “access with ticket” entrance, and it also notes the entrance is on the second floor of the Maremagnum centre.

The official day ticket is bought for a time slot, and online purchase carries no extra fee per the price page. I can’t say how long the box office queue is, but holding a ticket before you arrive removes it from your morning. Reviews of the entry ticket do not complain about queues, though that is an absence of evidence and not proof.

How Much Do Barcelona Aquarium Tickets Cost?

How much Barcelona Aquarium tickets cost depends on where you buy. On GetYourGuide the entry ticket is $33 per ticket and the audio walk bundle is $61. The official prices are in the last rows of the table, from the aquarium’s price page.

Option Where Price Notes
Entry ticket GetYourGuide $33 Valid 24 hours, 4.4 from 20,112 reviews
Entry plus city audio walk GetYourGuide $61 2.5 hours, 5.0 from 1 review
Official day ticket aquariumbcn.com 30 euros (child 5 to 10: 23, senior: 25) Time slot; free for ages 0 to 2
Official Flexiticket aquariumbcn.com 35 euros (child 5 to 10: 28) Online only, valid 90 days, no date needed

Prices for Barcelona Aquarium tickets move with dates and demand, so treat these as a snapshot. Neither GetYourGuide listing states child prices, so a family should compare the official child fare of 23 euros for ages 5 to 10 with the $33 ticket.

Barcelona Aquarium Tickets 2 for 1

I found no 2 for 1 offer for Barcelona Aquarium tickets, neither on the two listings nor on a page I could open. Searches for a 2 for 1 deal usually lead to voucher sites, and I would not trust one without reading its terms, because a voucher that needs printing or a specific day can cost you the saving.

If the sum matters, the honest comparison is the $33 entry ticket against the official 30 euros day ticket, converting at the rate of the day; the GetYourGuide ticket adds a voucher and free cancellation up to 24 hours before.

Barcelona Aquarium Tickets Discount

Discounts on Barcelona Aquarium tickets are best checked at the source. I found no discount on either GetYourGuide listing, but the official price page lists a senior rate of 25 euros, a Family Pack 2+2 at 88 euros, a Friends Pack of four at 100 euros, and 20 euros for adults with a disability card. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the visit is the only flexibility I can confirm, and it protects you from a change of plan rather than cutting the price.

A city pass can include attractions, but I did not find a pass with the aquarium on GetYourGuide, so I will not guess at one.

Is Barcelona Aquarium Worth Visiting?

Is Barcelona Aquarium worth visiting? My view is yes for families and for anyone who wants a dry hour by the port, and less so if you expect a cutting-edge marine park. The entry ticket scores 4.4 from 20,112 reviews, while Google Maps gives the aquarium 4.1 from 76,493 ratings, which suggests a happy ticket-buying crowd and a more critical general public.

The aquarium was an excellent experience. With lots of unique fish that I never knew existed. The overhead shark tank was amazing. Maybes slightly overpriced but still worth a visit.
— GetYourGuide reviewer

The reviews agree on the walk-through tunnel under the sharks and stingrays. One reviewer found parts of the aquarium a little dated and some tank water not clear enough, and another liked the habitat-style displays and the penguins, frogs and axolotls. The listing says the aquarium turned 30 in 2025 and was renewed, so recent visitors may see more of the new rooms than older reviews describe.

Barcelona Aquarium Tickets Online

Barcelona Aquarium tickets online are what both listings sell: the entry ticket is a mobile voucher, and the bundle is delivered through the WeGoTrip app by email. Booking online lets you choose a date and cancel up to 24 hours ahead for a full refund.

The entry ticket is valid for 24 hours according to its listing, which I read as a window from your chosen start. The meeting point is the aquarium itself at Moll d’Espanya. If you book the bundle, install the app first, because the ticket exists only there.

Barcelona Aquarium Family Tickets

Barcelona Aquarium family tickets are not a product on GetYourGuide, so a family buys one Barcelona Aquarium ticket per person. The listing says the visit includes interactive activities for children, such as creating a digital fish in Aqua Protectors and the Planeta Aqua exhibition, where kids use all five senses. Reviewers describe the aquarium as good for couples, young families and individuals.

“Absolutely beautiful and amazing experience. Highly recommended 👌🏽” – GetYourGuide review

This is the best match for the section and the ticket I’d buy. It covers admission only, and the listing excludes extra activities. The listing states no child price, so a family should compare the official child fare of 23 euros with $33 before booking. Café and shop are mentioned as services after the visit.

Does Barcelona Have an Aquarium?

Does Barcelona have an aquarium? Yes: L’Aquarium de Barcelona, at Moll d’Espanya in Port Vell beside the Maremagnum centre. The listing calls its transparent tunnel 80 metres long, running through an oceanarium 5 metres deep and 36 metres across, with sharks, gilt-heads and morays.

It also describes more than 80 aquariums of Mediterranean and tropical species, plus areas inspired by the Medes Islands and the Ebro Delta. Those figures come from the listing; the official site gives no dimensions. Wikipedia has a general article on the aquarium.

Opening Hours and Getting There

Google Maps shows 10 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am to 8 pm on Saturday and Sunday. The nearest metro stop in my data is Barceloneta, about 0.55 km away, and Drassanes is about 0.71 km, both straight-line estimates. Full details and a map are in my Barcelona Aquarium opening hours guide.

The Barcelona Cathedral is about 1.0 km away, roughly 17 minutes on foot. Plaça de Catalunya is about 1.6 km (27 minutes) and Casa Batlló about 2.3 km (38 minutes). Casa Milà is around 2.8 km, the Sagrada Familia about 3.1 km and Park Güell about 4.9 km, so those are metro or taxi rides. The Picasso Museum and Parc de la Ciutadella lie in the same direction as the Born, and both have their own ticket pages.

How I’d Choose

Frequently asked questions

How much are Barcelona Aquarium tickets?

On GetYourGuide the plain entry ticket costs $33 and a bundle with a phone-based city audio walk costs $61. The aquarium sells its own tickets at aquariumbcn.com: the [price page](https://www.aquariumbcn.com/en/plan-your-visit/prices/) lists 30 euros for ages 11 and over, 23 euros for ages 5 to 10 and 25 euros for seniors.

Do I need to book Barcelona Aquarium in advance?

I found no walk-up rule I could confirm. The GetYourGuide entry ticket is valid for 24 hours and can be cancelled free up to 24 hours ahead, which makes booking ahead low risk. Weekends and school holidays are the days I would not leave to chance.

Is it worth going to Barcelona Aquarium?

I think so if you have children or like a sheltered hour or two by the harbour. The entry ticket has 4.4 stars from 20,112 reviews, though Google Maps rates the aquarium lower at 4.1 from 76,493 ratings. One reviewer called it slightly overpriced but still well worth a visit.

How long does it take to go through Barcelona Aquarium?

No listing gives a visit length for the aquarium itself. One reviewer who went in the off season said about one hour for two adults with few people around. I would allow one and a half to two hours, which is my estimate and not a published figure.

Is the Barcelona Aquarium free?

I found no free entry for the general public. Both tickets I compared are paid, and the official [price page](https://www.aquariumbcn.com/en/plan-your-visit/prices/) lists free admission only for children aged 0 to 2, and 23 euros for ages 5 to 10.

What animals are at Barcelona Aquarium?

The entry listing describes more than 80 aquariums with Mediterranean and tropical species, an oceanarium with sharks, gilt-heads and morays, and sea dragons. Reviewers also mention penguins, axolotls, frogs and stingrays.

Does Barcelona have an aquarium?

Yes. L'Aquarium de Barcelona sits at Moll d'Espanya in Port Vell, next to the Maremagnum shopping centre. Google Maps shows it open 10 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am to 8 pm at weekends.
