The Barcelona city pass I’d buy depends on one question: what do you actually want to enter? If it is museums, I’d take the Articket at $42 or the Barcelona Card from $66. If it is Gaudí, I’d skip every pass and buy single tickets. The cheapest product here is the $22 Hola Barcelona transport card, which opens no attraction at all, and the dearest is the $211 Go City All-Inclusive Pass. Each has free cancellation up to 24 hours before, except the FC Barcelona pass.

All prices below are the “from” prices on GetYourGuide in US dollars, taken in November 2026, and the booking buttons open GetYourGuide through affiliate links. Several of these are not what a visitor means by a Barcelona city pass or a city pass in Barcelona, so I have labelled each one for what it really is.

The Barcelona Card: The Only Pass That Bundles Museums and Transport
The Barcelona Card, the best known Barcelona city pass, is sold by Turisme de Barcelona, the city’s tourist board, and the GetYourGuide listing is that same product. The listing says it gives free admission to 28 museums and attractions, free public transport and a guidebook in six languages. The official Barcelona Card page is more careful: more than 25 free museums and cultural venues, unlimited transport for 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours, and more than 70 discounts. It also sells an Essential version without transport.
The free list includes the Picasso Museum, the Joan Miró Foundation, MNAC, MACBA, CCCB, Montjuïc Castle, the Banksy Museum and CosmoCaixa. The Sagrada Família and Park Güell appear on neither the free nor the discount list I read. What you do get on Gaudí is 7 euros off Casa Batlló and 7 euros off Casa Milà, per the same page. The official page also lists 20 percent off the Aquarium and Tibidabo, 15 percent off the cable car and 25 percent off the Palau de la Música.

“Easy and fast transportation, nice choise of atractions and museums” – GetYourGuide review
Reviewers like the convenience. One wrote that it was easy to plan with Google Maps and move around on the transport system, another that the card covered all the museums they wanted over three days. The complaints are small: it can get busy at the collection desks, and the official page says the card is activated at your first entry, so start it on a day you will use it. Night buses are excluded and the card is valid until the end of the current year.
The Articket: A Barcelona City Pass for Six Art Museums
The Articket is a Barcelona city pass only in a narrow sense. It is a one-visit-each passport to six art venues, and the official Articket site lists them: MNAC, the Picasso Museum, MACBA, CCCB, the Joan Miró Foundation and the Fundació Antoni Tàpies. It costs 38 euros there, is valid for one year from purchase, and you swap the online voucher for the pass at the fast-track desk of any of the six. The site says there are no reductions, and children aged 16 and under enter free with an adult who holds a pass. It shows a “real” value of 82 euros.

“Fantastic experience in the land of PICASSO. Can’t miss the deal to explore the art and culture of Barcelona. 🇪🇸🇮🇳🥰” – GetYourGuide review
A reviewer warned about timing: Sunday is free at some museums, so do not buy the pass for a Sunday visit. That fits the Picasso Museum, where the official ticket page lists free entry on the first Sunday of the month, with a reservation. My Picasso Museum tickets page lists that and the 12 euro online price. Another reviewer redeemed the pass at the Picasso Museum and went straight in, which is how I would start. Pair it with the Joan Miró Foundation tickets, which cost $20 alone.
Go City: Explorer, All-Inclusive and Essentials
Go City sells three different Barcelona city passes, and each Barcelona city pass works differently. The Explorer Pass lets you choose 2 to 7 attractions and use them over 30 days. It starts at $94, is rated 3.7 from 504 reviews, and its list includes a Sagrada Família guided tour, a hosted-entry Park Güell visit, Casa Batlló, the Montjuïc cable car, a hop-on bus and an FC Barcelona tour. The All-Inclusive Pass is the big one at $211: 45+ attractions on a 2, 3, 4 or 5 day clock. The Essentials Pass at $99 is a three-attraction version with limits on how many “top” attractions you can pick.

“Very informative guide who gave a great context to Park Guell for us to explore afterwards.” – GetYourGuide review
One Explorer reviewer said the price was better than the official site and advised thinking about which attractions you need, since houses have their own audio guides. Another said the multiple downloads and separate passes were confusing. That matches the structure: you pick, reserve and scan each attraction.

“This tour was amazing. The guide was so good and the views were amazing.” – GetYourGuide review
A reviewer of the All-Inclusive pass said it saved a lot of money but advised booking some attractions early, and another noted that Casa Batlló had an earlier last entry in winter, which cost them a day. For the Essentials Pass I would be careful.
“Buying this pass in advance only makes limited sense, and I consider it rather misleading.”
— GetYourGuide reviewer
That reviewer’s point was that you can only visit one of the top attractions, and that a Sagrada Família reservation was cancelled when they used another highlight first. With only 5 reviews at 3.1, I would not buy the Essentials Pass over single tickets.

Turbopass: A Barcelona City Pass With an Optional Sagrada Família
Turbopass sells two Barcelona city pass products here. The City Pass with Sagrada Família, at $117, lists a 24-hour hop-on bus, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà, Casa Amatller, the Moco Museum, the Aquarium, the cable car and more, valid 1 to 4 days. Two things sit outside it unless you choose them: Sagrada Família entry and unlimited transport are options, and Park Güell is not included. The listing says every included attraction can be visited free once.

“is the best packag that you can take to visit Barcelona. I was realy happy with the card but if you have mire day then 2 book for more. 2 is not enought.” – GetYourGuide review
A reviewer said the card was about 30 euros cheaper than buying each ticket alone for Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, Amatller, Moco, Poble Espanyol and the Aquarium, and that it was the most they could do in one day. Another could not find the Turbopass desk without asking several people, and a winter reviewer found some attractions unavailable.
The second product is the Flex Pass at $89, which is either a Sagrada Família plus 24-hour bus combo for one day, or a pick-your-attractions pass valid 30 days. A reviewer said the vouchers must be exchanged at the ticket counter of each sight and the bus ticket lasts 24 hours from first use.

Hola Barcelona: A Transport Card, Not a Barcelona City Pass
The Hola Barcelona card is a Turisme de Barcelona transport ticket at $22 from, rated 4.5 from 22,604 reviews. It gives unlimited travel on TMB metro and buses, the Generalitat trains, the tram and Renfe suburban trains for 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours, and the airport link is included. The listing says the night bus is covered, while the Barcelona Card page says its card excludes night buses, so check which card you hold. It excludes the Montjuïc cable car and the Aerobus. You exchange the voucher for a physical card at a tourist information office. The TMB metro page has the network map.

“The ability to collect this at any metro station made this so easy” – GetYourGuide review
Reviewers praise how easy it is to collect at a metro station and use on the airport metro. The common complaint is finding where to exchange the voucher at the airport, because it cannot be done inside the terminal building.
FC Barcelona and White Rabbit: Two Single Tickets Sold as Passes
Two products in the pass collection are not city passes. The FC Barcelona Museum Total Experience Pass at $60 is one stadium museum with extras: an immersive tour, a digital audio guide, a 3-shot Robokeeper challenge and a virtual reality experience. It is valid for one day and the listing says it is non-refundable. A reviewer found it packed on a Monday and another said the VR experience was not to be missed.

“It was a great immersive tour, but even at this time on a Monday, it was super packed. It was hard to take pictures because everyone jumped in front of you. You have to be quick if you want a picture of Messi’s trophies or the club’s badge.” – GetYourGuide review
The Barcelona Pass: White Rabbit and House of Candy Combo Ticket costs $28, is rated 4.7 from 204 reviews, and is a single admission ticket for two separate immersive venues, valid on an open date. Per the listing, White Rabbit is open 10 am to 8 pm and House of Candy 11 am to 9 pm. Families rated it well. “Great fun! We went at 11am when it opened and it wasn't busy at all. Very clean. Friendly staff. The kids loved it (teens) and it was a great hour of random rooms and sillyness.” – GetYourGuide review
Worked Example: Do the Passes Beat Single Tickets?
These examples use only prices from my attraction pages and the pass listings, in US dollars. The single prices are the cheapest plain entry I compared for each sight, not guided tours. I cannot price a four-attraction Go City pick, because the listing shows only the $94 starting price.
Plan
Single tickets
Pass
Result
Gaudí day: Casa Batlló, Casa Milà, Aquarium, cable car
32 + 29 + 33 + 21 = $115
Turbopass City Pass $117
Pass costs $2 more, before its bus and extra venues
Sagrada Família and Casa Batlló only
38 + 32 = $70
Go City Explorer from $94
Pass costs $24 more at two picks
Three art museums over three days
Picasso 12 euros online, Miró $20, plus a third I could not price
Articket $42
The official site shows a real value of 82 euros for six
Museums plus transport, 3 days
Articket $42 + Hola card $22 = $64
Barcelona Card $66
Almost equal, so pick by museums
The pattern is simple. A Barcelona city pass saves money when you stack many cheap-to-mid sights, and it loses when you have two big ones. The Turbopass only wins if you value the hop-on bus and the other venues it adds. The Barcelona Card and the Articket-plus-Hola pair come out at $66 against $64, so choose the one that matches your museum list: the Card covers 25+ venues, the Articket six.
When a Barcelona City Pass Is Not Worth It
If you plan only the big Gaudí sights, buy each ticket yourself. My Sagrada Família tickets page compares ten options from $28, and Casa Batlló tickets, Casa Milà tickets and Park Güell tickets each have a plain entry ticket from $24 to $32. One Essentials reviewer wrote that Sagrada Família needs booking several weeks ahead and that their reservation was cancelled after visiting another highlight first. If you want a cheap trip, the free things in the city are listed on my free attractions in Barcelona page, and the hill and park are among the free sights. For the full set of ticket guides start at my Barcelona attraction tickets hub, and plan your route with the attractions map.
A pass also loses when the sights are far apart. Tibidabo sits on a hill, Montserrat is a day trip, and the Montjuïc tickets and Barcelona Aquarium tickets are on opposite sides of the port. Count the sights per day honestly before you pick a Barcelona city pass, because the cost per sight rises quickly when you only manage two.
How I’d Choose a Barcelona City Pass
The best Barcelona city pass is the one whose list matches your days.
Museum lover for three days: the Barcelona Card from $66, because the Picasso Museum, the Miró Foundation, MNAC and MACBA are all free on it.
Art only, no transport: the Articket at $42, valid a year, six museums.
Gaudí and the Aquarium in a day: the Turbopass City Pass at $117, and skip it if you only want two sights.
Only getting around: the Hola Barcelona card at $22, and nothing else.
Families: the White Rabbit combo at $28, or the Barcelona Card Family on the official page for the zoo, Tibidabo and CosmoCaixa.
It depends on what you will actually visit. For museums I'd buy the Articket at $42, which covers six art museums for a year. For museums plus transport the Barcelona Card from $66 is the only pass that bundles both. If you mainly want Gaudí, I'd buy the single tickets, because no pass I compared includes Park Güell and the Barcelona Card only discounts Casa Batlló and Casa Milà.
Is it worth getting a Barcelona city pass?+
Only if you will use most of it. On my four-sight Gaudí day the singles cost $115 against $117 for the Turbopass, so there was no saving before its extras. The Barcelona Card works for a museum-heavy three days, and the Articket works for three of its six museums. For one or two paid sights, a pass loses.
What's the best travel card for Barcelona?+
The Hola Barcelona card at $22 is a transport card only: unlimited metro, TMB buses, trams and suburban trains for 48 to 120 hours, with the airport link included. It does not open any attraction. The Barcelona Card adds free museums to transport, from $66, and its official Essential version drops the transport.
What does a 3-day Barcelona pass include?+
The Barcelona Card for 3 days lists free entry to over 25 museums, unlimited public transport, a guidebook and more than 70 discounts, per the official page. The Go City All-Inclusive Pass lists 40+ activities over 2 to 5 days, including Casa Batlló, a Sagrada Família tour and a bus. Check each list for the sights you want.
How to get free entry to Sagrada Família?+
No pass I compared gives free entry. The official prices page lists free entry for children under 11 and people with disabilities only. Go City and Turbopass include a Sagrada Família visit in some options, but you pay for the pass. My Sagrada Família tickets page compares every way in.
Can two people use the same metro card in Barcelona?+
Not the Barcelona Card, which the official page calls personal and non-transferable. For the Hola Barcelona card I found no sharing rule in the listing, so I would not assume you can. Buy one per traveller, and read the TMB site for the rules on the card you use.
Does the Barcelona Card include the airport?+
The official page says the version with transport includes the underground and train to Barcelona Airport. The Aerobus bus is not part of it, and night buses are excluded. The Hola Barcelona card also covers the airport metro, and its listing says the Aerobus is not included.
Can I cancel a Barcelona pass?+
Nine of the ten products here cancel free up to 24 hours before, per their listings. The FC Barcelona Museum Total Experience Pass is non-refundable. A Turbopass or Go City pass is activated on first use, so check what the listing says once you have started.
