Casa Batlló is open every day of the year, and Google Maps lists it open from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm, today Saturday 7 November 2026 included. The official visit page gives a last admission of 9:30 pm, so the practical Casa Batlló opening hours depend on the slot you book. This guide covers the hours, the best time to go, how to get there and the rules at the door. To book, my comparison of Casa Batlló tickets lists all 8 options with prices.

Casa Batlló Opening Hours

Today’s Casa Batlló opening hours per Google Maps are 8:30 am to 10:30 pm. The week looks like this:

Day Hours per Google Maps
Monday 8:30 am to 10:30 pm
Tuesday 8:30 am to 10:30 pm
Wednesday 8:30 am to 10:30 pm
Thursday 8:30 am to 10:30 pm
Friday 8:30 am to 10:30 pm
Saturday 8:30 am to 10:30 pm
Sunday 8:30 am to 10:30 pm

The official site is the one to trust, and its pages describe the day in layers. The visit page gives 8:30 am to 10:30 pm, a ticket office open until 9 pm and a last admission at 9:30 pm, and says the house is open every day of the year. The online ticket page is more specific: General Visit slots run from 9:00 to 19:45, the early Be the First entry from 8:30 to 8:45, and the summer night visit from 20:30 to 21:30. The official pages give no separate hours for Sundays or holidays, so I’d check your date.

Casa Batllo Hours

The Casa Batlló opening hours that matter are your ticket’s, not the building’s. The official FAQ says entry is not allowed before the time you select and that you have 15 minutes from that time to go in. So the real Casa Batllo hours for you are a window of 15 minutes. Arrive a little early, because the audio guide has to be picked up first. The GetYourGuide entry tickets I compared work the same way: you choose a time, and the meeting point is the entrance at Passeig de Gràcia 43.

Evening products use different Casa Batlló opening hours again. The summer night visit on the official page runs until 15 November, and the winter version starts earlier, at 18:30, and runs until 10 January. If you are reading this in November or later, treat any evening Casa Batlló opening hours you saw in summer as expired and check the ticket page.

Casa Batllo Opening Hours

The Casa Batllo opening hours on a given date can still change, because the house runs a changing programme of events. The ticket page shows an exhibition on the house’s Gaudí-Miró-Gomis theme until 10 January and concerts until 15 November, each with its own time. Those are extras on top of the visit, not a change of the daily hours, and I found no announcement on the official pages I read of a closure. The official FAQ does not list a last entry for day tickets beyond the slot you buy. I’d read the confirmation email for the exact time and not rely on the closing time alone.

Best Time to Visit Casa Batllo

Inside the Casa Batlló opening hours, the best time to visit Casa Batllo is the first slot of the day or the evening, and I can say that from the ticket data. The Be the First entry at 8:30 is sold exactly for fewer visitors, and the listing says you can enjoy the house without the crowds and take better photos. The reviewers back it up. One loved entering at 8:30 because it was not as crowded, and another says to get the early entrance or it will be packed. A reviewer of the audio-guide ticket booked the 10:30 am slot and found it perfect. The official FAQ suggests 4 pm to 7 pm as a more comfortable time, though it says this for wheelchair users and does not offer it as a general quiet window.

Best Time to See Casa Batllo

If you want to see the house in the best light, the season matters as much as the hour. Open-Meteo’s 2025 weather record for Barcelona shows the sun setting at 5:22 pm in December and 9:26 pm in June, and rainy days per month from 0 in June to 18 in March.

Month Sunrise Sunset Sunshine hours Rainy days
January 8:14 17:46 8.2 3
March 7:02 18:57 8.1 18
April 7:11 20:31 11.4 6
June 6:16 21:26 13.5 0
September 7:31 20:00 10.4 11
November 7:39 17:31 8.1 4
December 8:10 17:22 6.3 14

Whatever the Casa Batlló opening hours say, in winter it is dark by 5:30 pm, so the evening visit becomes an after-dark one at the winter times, and the rooftop is then lit by the house’s own lighting rather than the sun. From April the sun sets after 8:30 pm, which makes a sunset visit possible. The roof concert listing describes going up to the terrace at sunset, so it suits the long days.

Best Time of Day to Visit Casa Batllo

Within the Casa Batlló opening hours I would choose between three slots: 8:30 for the fewest people, the late afternoon for comfort, and after dark for atmosphere. The $32 night visit with a welcome drink is the cheapest evening option, and it does not include the rooftop, per its listing. The $66 roof terrace night visit does include the terrace and a one-hour concert. If the rooftop is what you came for, I’d go by day or book the concert version. Whichever you pick, compare the full range on my Casa Batlló tickets page, because the slot and the extras are tied together.

Casa Batllo Entrance

The entrance is on Passeig de Gràcia 43, the address Google Maps gives for the house, and every self-guided GetYourGuide listing uses it as the meeting point: you show your ticket at the door and pick up the audio guide. The welcome-drink night visit names a blue entrance. The guided tour from Julia Travel Gray Line meets elsewhere, at Passeig de Gràcia 41, in front of Casa Amatller next door, so read the meeting point in your confirmation. The three-house tour has three meeting points that depend on the option you pick, and the private Rosotravel walk meets at Hotel Casa Fuster, Passeig de Gràcia 132, a different part of the street.

How to Get to Casa Batlló

Before you check the Casa Batlló opening hours for your date, note that the closest metro stop in my data is Passeig de Gràcia, about 3 minutes on foot by my estimate (straight-line distance multiplied by 1.3 at 4.8 km/h). Diagonal and Girona are about 10 minutes away, and Universitat about 11. Plaça de Catalunya is about 11 minutes, and La Pedrera about 8. The Sagrada Família is roughly 25 minutes away on foot, so most people take the metro. The official TMB site has the current Barcelona metro information. The official visit page does not name a station, so I took these from Google Maps.

Is Casa Batlló Worth It

I’d say Casa Batlló is worth it if you want to see how Gaudí handled light, curves and everyday rooms, and it is the pricier choice in Barcelona if you only want the facade, which you can see from Passeig de Gràcia for free. Google Maps rates the house 4.7 from 223,715 reviews, and the audio-guide entry ticket I compared costs $32 and holds 4.6 from 33,334 reviews. The official General Visit starts at 29 euros, and I’d allow about an hour. Whether Casa Batlló is worth it for you also depends on the slot: the early entry at 8:30 is the one reviewers praise for fewer people. If you want a guide in the rooms, I compare those options on my Casa Batlló tours page.

What to Know Before You Go

Per the official FAQ, the house advises leaving luggage and backpacks at your accommodation. There are no lockers, only an area for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Wheelchair users can visit the whole house, including the new rooms and the roof terrace. Strollers cannot go on the tour, but baby carriers are available. The audio guide offers detailed explanations for visually impaired visitors and written text in 15 languages for hearing-impaired visitors.

Changes and refunds follow the ticket. The FAQ says only Platinum tickets can be rescheduled through the link in the pre-visit emails, and that changes cannot be processed at the ticket office. Most of the GetYourGuide Casa Batlló tickets I compared are non-refundable, and the guided tours allow free cancellation up to 24 hours before. The official FAQ does not give a dress code or an ID rule on the page I read, so I have nothing to add on those. Allow about an hour for the visit and more if you add the rooftop concert, and plan the day around your slot rather than the general Casa Batlló opening hours. The Casa Batlló tickets I compared are all on the hub, and the home page lists the other attractions I cover.

Google Maps lists 8:30 am to 10:30 pm every day. The official visit page gives the same closing time and says the house is open every day of the year, while its ticket page shows General Visit slots from 9:00 to 19:45. Your own ticket's time slot is the one that counts.

What time is the last entry at Casa Batlló?

The official visit page gives the last admission as 9:30 pm, and says the ticket office is open until 9 pm. For the day ticket, the latest General Visit slot on the ticket page is 19:45. Entry is not allowed before your chosen time, and you have 15 minutes after it to go in.

Is Casa Batlló closed on any days?

The official visit page says it is open every day of the year, and it lists no closing days. Special events can change the schedule, so I'd check the ticket page for your date. Night visits and concerts run only in set seasons, such as summer ones until 15 November.

How long do you need at Casa Batlló?

The official FAQ says the General Visit Blue lasts about 1 hour and the other visits about 1 hour 15 minutes. The guided tour I compared lasts 75 minutes and the roof concert evening 2 hours. I'd allow about 1.5 hours including the rooftop and the shop.

Is there a free day at Casa Batlló?

I found no free-entry day on the official ticket page. It lists free entry for children aged 0 to 12 on the main tickets and for a companion of a person with a disability, plus box-office-only free entry for some pass holders. Everyone else pays, from 29 euros for the General Visit.
