Château De Chantilly Tickets – Château de Chantilly Park Entry Ticket

The cheapest Château de Chantilly ticket on GetYourGuide is the $10 park entry, rated 4.8 from 34 reviews, but it does not include the château. The official site sells a 1-day château, grounds and Great Stables ticket at 18 euros, per chateaudechantilly.fr. I’d buy that official ticket for a first visit and book the $836 private tour only if you want a guide and a driver from Paris.

Château de Chantilly Private Tour with Guide$836–7 hoursYesCheck availability

I found only 2 Château de Chantilly tickets on GetYourGuide, so this comparison is short and I’ll be direct about what each one is. One is a park-only entry ticket. The other is a private day trip from Paris with transport, a guide and entry. Neither is a plain château ticket, which is why I also explain the official Château de Chantilly tickets below. Prices are in US dollars from the listings, checked in November 2026. The booking buttons are affiliate links (more on my about page).

Château de Chantilly Tickets at a Glance

The table below puts the Château de Chantilly tickets side by side with the official offer, so you can see what each one opens.

What Details
Ticket types 1 park entry ticket, 1 private tour from Paris with entry
Price range $10 (park entry) to $836 (private seven-hour tour)
Areas by type The park ticket covers the grounds only; the private tour lists the château and its gardens
Official ticket 1-day ticket for château, grounds and Great Stables: 18 euros full, 14.50 euros reduced; grounds only: 9 euros (chateaudechantilly.fr)
Time to allow The private tour takes 7 hours from Paris; the park ticket is valid for 24 hours
Address Rue du Connétable, 60500 Chantilly (per Google Maps)
Google Maps hours 10 am to 5 pm, closed Tuesday

The big difference between these tickets is the building. The château holds the Condé Museum with its paintings and manuscripts, and the Great Stables house the horse museum. A park-only ticket, whether the $10 GetYourGuide one or the 9 euro official one, leaves both out.

Château de Chantilly Tickets and Prices

If you want the cheapest Château de Chantilly ticket, the GetYourGuide park entry is $10, and I’d treat it as a grounds ticket, not a château ticket. Per the listing it includes entry to the park, a treasure hunt booklet and a visit to the 115-hectare grounds, which blend a French garden by André Le Nôtre, an Anglo-Chinese garden from 1773 and an English garden from 1817. Entry to the castle and stables is listed as not included, and so is a guide. It has 4.8 stars from 34 reviews, and you can cancel up to 24 hours ahead for a full refund. The listing mentions kangaroos in the park, which is a surprise worth knowing about if you bring children.

My pick: The cheapest way in at $10 with a 4.8 rating, but it is a park ticket: the castle and stables are not included, so I'd only buy it for a garden day.

“the audio channels few did not work or did not have any content. Please rectify it” – GetYourGuide review
Considering the price for the tickets I was blown away by this Chateau.
— GetYourGuide reviewer

A French-language reviewer made the point I’d stress: when you pick your ticket, choose the park and the château together, or you have to pay a supplement later to go inside. For that reason I’d compare this $10 listing with the official 1-day ticket before paying.

Château de Chantilly Price

The official price of a Château de Chantilly ticket is 18 euros for the 1-day timed ticket (14.50 euros reduced for ages 7 to 25), per the official tickets page. It covers the château, the grounds and the Great Stables with the equestrian demonstrations. A 2-day ticket is 26 euros, a 1-day ticket with the Reading Room is 21 euros, and the family ticket for 2 adults and 2 or 3 children is 55 euros. Children under 7 enter free, and Paris Museum Pass holders are listed among the free entries.

Add-ons to Château de Chantilly tickets cost extra: the castle audio guide is 3 euros and the themed guided tours, such as the private apartments or the Raphaels, are 7 euros each. If you are travelling as a group, this is where the numbers move, and the calculator below shows the total for the private tour.

Château de Chantilly Private Tour From Paris

The private tour is the only guided Château de Chantilly option I found, and it is a full day: $836, seven hours, English, with round-trip transport from Paris. The listing includes skip-the-line entry, an officially licensed French national guide and a personalised plan. The route runs from Paris to the château and then the gardens, and the description mentions the apartments of the princes of Condé, the library, the galleries with works by Raphael, Poussin and Watteau, and the Great Stables. Food and drinks are not included. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours ahead. It has no reviews yet, so I have no rating to give you.

This is a tour that includes entry plus transport, not a ticket you can swap for the official one. The price of this private Château de Chantilly ticket is the car, the guide and your own pace. If you are happy to take the train, the official ticket plus a guided tour on site is far cheaper, and I explain that next.

Château de Chantilly Tour

Tickets for a guided Château de Chantilly visit work differently from the entry ticket. Beyond the private tour, the official Château de Chantilly tickets page sells short guided visits for 7 euros each on top of the 1-day ticket, covering the painting collections, the private apartments, the Raphaels and the Dutch treasures. The castle audio guide is 3 euros. A reviewer on the park listing said the audio channels did not work for them, so I’d test the audio guide at the start and ask at the desk if it fails. For history without a guide, Wikipedia describes the Petit Château, built around 1560, and the Grand Château, rebuilt in the 1870s after its destruction in the Revolution.

Skip-the-Line Château de Chantilly Tickets

I found one GetYourGuide product that lists skip-the-line entry, and it is the private tour above. The official page for Château de Chantilly tickets does not describe a separate skip-the-line product, and the official site sells a timed 1-day ticket, so the way to avoid a wait at the door is to book a time in advance. I would not read more into the phrase than that. Book your Château de Chantilly tickets online, arrive for your slot and keep the confirmation on your phone.

Château Chantilly Tickets

Searches for tickets for Château de Chantilly mostly lead to the same three sources: the official ticket office, a park-only ticket and a tour from Paris. The official Tickeasy booking page is linked from the château’s home page. The Paris Museum Pass is listed as free entry on the official site, which matters if you already hold one. For everyone else, my order is simple: the official 18 euro ticket first, the $10 park ticket for garden-only days, and the private tour for a hosted day.

Château de Chantilly Billetterie, Billet and Entrée

The French terms billetterie, for Château de Chantilly tickets,, billet and entrée all point to the same ticket office. On the official site the “Billetterie” link opens the online booking page, where the 1-day ticket, the grounds ticket and the 2-day ticket are sold. Château de Chantilly tickets for events are separate: a winter equestrian show, The Forgotten Christmas, runs from 28 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, and the official site lists a combined 1-day ticket and show at 32 euros full price. If you read French, the same offer is on the French pages of chateaudechantilly.fr.

Is Chantilly, France Worth Visiting

Yes, and Château de Chantilly tickets are cheap for what they open, if you want a day out of Paris built around art, horses and gardens. The estate has a château with the Condé Museum collection, the Great Stables with the Living Museum of the Horse, and grounds designed in part by André Le Nôtre. Google Maps rates the château 4.6 from 23,848 reviews. The town of Chantilly is small, so the château is the reason to go, and I’d plan on a half day at least.

Opening Hours and Getting There

The château is open 10 am to 5 pm, the grounds until 6 pm and the Great Stables from noon to 5 pm, closed Tuesdays, per the official hours page. By train, the official access page says a main-line SNCF train from Gare du Nord reaches Chantilly-Gouvieux in about 25 minutes, and RER D takes about 45. Everything else is in my Château de Chantilly opening hours and visitor guide.

Which Ticket Fits You

Choosing between Château de Chantilly tickets comes down to the building. Here is how the Château de Chantilly tickets compare, with the official ticket added for reference.

Near Château de Chantilly

My Google Maps data for this page holds no sights in the town of Chantilly itself, so I won’t invent walking times to places I can’t check. What it holds are central Paris landmarks, and they are not near: the Arc de Triomphe is about 38 km away in a straight line, Place de la Concorde about 38 km, Notre-Dame about 39 km and the Eiffel Tower about 40 km. These are straight-line distances, not travel times, so plan a train back to Paris. If you are combining Chantilly with another day trip, my guide to Palace of Versailles tickets covers the royal residence on the other side of the capital, and the Eiffel Tower tickets and Louvre Museum tickets pages cover the Paris sights.

How I’d Choose

Frequently asked questions

How much are Château de Chantilly tickets?

The official site lists a 1-day ticket for the château, grounds and Great Stables at 18 euros full price and 14.50 euros reduced. A grounds-only ticket is 9 euros. On GetYourGuide I found a $10 park entry ticket and an $836 private tour from Paris. Check the official ticket page for your date.

Does the $10 Château de Chantilly park ticket include the château?

No. The GetYourGuide listing says entry to the castle and stables is not included, and one reviewer warned that you must pick park and château at the ticket stage or pay a supplement. The park ticket covers the grounds, the gardens and a treasure hunt booklet. Read the listing carefully before you buy.

How can I get from Paris to Château de Chantilly?

The official access page says to take a main-line SNCF train from Gare du Nord to Chantilly-Gouvieux, about 25 minutes, or RER line D, about 45 minutes. From the station the château is about 25 minutes on foot, 10 minutes by bus or 5 minutes by taxi. The château is 40 km from Paris by road.

How far is Chantilly from Paris?

The official site puts the château 40 km from Paris by road. Wikipedia gives about 50 km north-northeast of Paris. Google Maps coordinates put it roughly 39 km in a straight line from central Paris sights such as Notre-Dame. By train it is a short ride from Gare du Nord.

Is Château de Chantilly worth it?

I think so if you like art, horses or gardens. The official ticket covers the château, the grounds and the Great Stables. Google Maps rates it 4.6 from 23,848 reviews, and a GetYourGuide reviewer said they were blown away by how big it is. It is a half day or more, not a quick stop.

Who owns the Château de Chantilly?

Wikipedia says the Institut de France owns it, having received it from Henri d'Orléans, Duke of Aumale. He rebuilt the Grand Château in the 1870s and bequeathed the estate in 1889. That is why the visit is run as a museum with a ticket office rather than as a private home.

Is the Château de Chantilly open on Tuesdays?

No. The official hours page lists a weekly closing on Tuesday and an annual closure from 4 to 22 January. The château is open 10 am to 5 pm and the grounds 10 am to 6 pm on other days. Google Maps also shows Tuesday as closed. Check the official site for holiday dates.
