Tibidabo opening hours are not one set of times, because the hill, the amusement park, the funicular and the church each keep their own. The amusement park opens only on selected days, which change by season, and the official schedules page shows 11:00 to 19:00 on the open days, so check it for your date. Google Maps shows the Tibidabo Funicular open 11 am to 5 pm on weekdays and 10:30 am to 7 pm at weekends, which differs from the official calendar below. Once you have checked the opening hours and want to buy, my Tibidabo tickets page compares the four products I found.
Tibidabo Opening Hours
For the Tibidabo opening hours, the hill itself is public, and the views from the top need no ticket. The things with hours are the funicular, the amusement park and the Panoramic Area. Google Maps lists the following hours for the funicular and the Panoramic Area, which are a snapshot and can change with the season.

Where the official Tibidabo opening hours differ from Google Maps, trust the official schedules page. It shows the amusement park open September to November at weekends and holidays plus 2, 3, 4 and 25 September, in December at weekends plus 7, 8, 21 to 24 and 28 to 30 December, and in July and August from Wednesday to Sunday. The Panoramic Area is open daily March to December except 25 and 26 December. On park days the funicular runs from 10:30 until 30 minutes after closing, about every 15 minutes; on Panoramic Area days only, it runs from 11:00 until 15 minutes after closing. The park may change the timetable or close for bad weather, so treat these Tibidabo opening hours as the calendar’s current state, not a promise.
Tibidabo Park
Tibidabo park, the Parc d’Atraccions, is the amusement park on the summit. The GetYourGuide listing says it has been around for over 100 years, with 25 rides, an Automaton Museum and the Tibidabo Sky Walk lookout. The Tibidabo opening hours decide which day you can use the ticket I compared, the Turisme de Barcelona admission, valid for one day, with the funicular ride included. The park sells the same one-day entrance at 39 euros for visitors over 120 cm, per its rates page. Children under 90 cm go free and children from 90 to 120 cm pay the child price.

“We had a great time. It’s a small but fun amusement park with a great view of the city!! Loved it.” – GetYourGuide review
Tibidabo in Barcelona
None of the Tibidabo opening hours above apply to the hill itself. Per Wikipedia, Tibidabo is a hill of 512 metres overlooking Barcelona, the tallest hill in the Serra de Collserola, with views over the city and the coastline. Three things stand on or just below the top: the amusement park, the Sagrat Cor church and the Fabra Observatory. They are separate visits. I understand the church is free, and I know the observatory has its own visits, but I could not confirm hours or prices for either, so I won’t quote any.
How to Get to Tibidabo
There are two usual routes, the Tibibus and the FGC train followed by the Cuca de Llum funicular. The park’s rates page says the one-day entrance includes the funicular and the TibiBus shuttles, and sells the funicular alone at 13.50 euros. I could not load the FGC or TMB timetables, so check FGC and TMB before you go.
In my Google Maps data, the Avinguda Tibidabo train station and a Tibibus stop at Plaça Kennedy sit next to each other, 0.86 km from the funicular’s lower station on Plaça del Doctor Andreu, which is about 14 minutes on foot. The funicular station is 1.25 km from the summit pin, about 20 minutes. These are estimates: straight-line distance multiplied by 1.3, at 4.8 km per hour. A reviewer of the park ticket wrote that more details on how to get there would have helped, and another got off the tram and found no directions to the park. Plan the approach before you leave the city.
If you buy the GetYourGuide park ticket, the funicular ride is included in it, so you do not pay for it at the station. The ticket office address on the listing is Plaça del Tibidabo 3-4, 08035 Barcelona.
Tibidabo View
The view is the reason most people go. From the summit the city drops to the sea, and the park listing singles out the Tibidabo Sky Walk, at 500 metres, as the best viewpoint. Google Maps shows a Tibidabo Panoramic Area rated 4.7 from 5,861 reviews and the summit pin rated 4.5 from 8,353. The e-bike tour I list, which is $95, also stops at the church and the city viewpoint at the top.
Tibidabo Barcelona Hours and Best Time to Visit
The Tibidabo Barcelona hours on Google Maps are a guide, not a promise.
I found no crowd data from an official source, so I cannot name a quiet hour. A reviewer of the park wrote that it was not very crowded, but that is one visit and not a pattern. What the data does show is the weather. In my Open-Meteo data for 2025, the sun sets around 17:31 in November and 17:22 in December, against 21:27 in June, and sunrise is at about 08:10 in December and 06:17 in June. June averaged 13.5 hours of sunshine and 34 percent cloud cover, while December had 6 hours and 70 percent. See Open-Meteo for the method.
In winter the funicular’s listed 5 pm close, one of the shortest Tibidabo opening hours I found, on weekdays and the early sunset leave a short afternoon on the hill. For views, I would go on a clear spring or autumn day, at the start of the Tibidabo opening hours if you want the park to yourself. That is my judgement and not a statistic. For the sunrise, the guided walk from the Horta velodrome, $178, starts before sunrise and the time depends on the season.
What Else Is Nearby
The Tibidabo opening hours matter less for the rest of the city, because most of it is far away. From the summit pin on Google Maps, Park Güell is 2.98 km in a straight line, about 48 minutes on foot by my estimate, and Casa Vicens is 3.41 km, about 55 minutes. The Sagrada Familia is 5.10 km away, about 83 minutes. Nobody walks that, so combine the hill with a half day, then take transport back down. My Park Güell tickets and Sagrada Familia tickets pages cover those two once you are back in town.
The e-bike tour I list links the hill with the Gaudí houses on the way up, passing Casa Vicens and Torre Bellesguard. The tour is $95, runs 4.5 hours and does not include entry to the amusement park, so it does not depend on the park’s calendar in the same way. It is the one option that works on a closed park day, since it ends at the public summit.
What to Know Before You Go
Pricing on the park ticket is by height, so measure children: under 90 cm is free, 90 to 120 cm is the child price and over 120 cm is the adult price. The ticket is non-refundable, which makes the opening calendar worth checking first. The listing marks it wheelchair accessible. One reviewer said the ticket could not be shown on a phone and had to be printed at the information desk, so read the voucher instructions when you book.
I found no bag, ID or dress-code rules on the park pages I read, and I will not guess. Allow most of a day within the Tibidabo opening hours if you want the park: one reviewer spent about four hours and said it could be longer. The tours run from 1.5 hours for the supercar drive to 4.5 hours for the e-bike ride. When you are ready, see every Tibidabo ticket I compared, or go back to the ticketguide24 home page for other Barcelona attractions such as Park Güell tickets.
