A Sagrada Familia tour solves two problems at once: you get an entry slot and someone who can explain Gaudí’s building while you stand under it. I compared nine guided Sagrada Familia tours, from $28 to $125, and eight of them include entry to the basilica. This page sets them side by side with the route, group size, languages, meeting point and what reviewers say. If you want the entry alone, my guide to tickets for the Sagrada Familia covers every option, including the official ones.
What a Sagrada Familia Tour Adds Over a Plain Ticket
A plain ticket gets you in at a time slot, with an audio guide if you pay for one. A guided Sagrada Familia tour adds a live guide, a meeting point that walks you through the security check, and on most tours a skip-the-line entrance. The official prices page lists the basic individual ticket at 26 euros and 30 euros with its own guided tour, and it says tickets are nominative and non-transferable, so a tour operator is working within the same timed system as you.
What the guide does not remove is the building’s rules. The listings say security can take 20 to 30 minutes in high season, that you need ID, and that the dress code applies. Plan your Sagrada Familia tour around those, not around the idea of skipping everything.
Skip-the-Line Sagrada Familia Tours From Avenida Gaudí
Three tours meet on the rear side of the basilica, along Avenida Gaudí, near the KFC and the Hard Rock shop.
4 YOU Barcelona is the Sagrada Familia tour I would start with, because 15,458 reviews at 4.8 is the biggest sample of any guided tour here. It costs $66 for 1.5 hours and includes the entrance fees and tickets, an official tour guide and audio reinforcement if the group has more than 10 people. It runs in French, Italian, English, Spanish and German. You meet between the Hard Rock and KFC, in front of the modernist lamppost, looking for the red flag, and the listing says to arrive 15 minutes early because admission times are strict. One reviewer could not spot the meeting point and was found by the guide waving the flag. The towers are not included.

Special Plans charges $77 for the same 1.5 hours and the same red 4U flag under the lamp, in four languages. The agency staff wait with a sign in the Stella Nova restaurant on Avenida Gaudí, on the same pavement as the KFC. The listing says every child needs a ticket whatever the age and that groups under 9 do not receive headphones.

Golden Tour Guide is the cheapest Sagrada Familia tour with entry at $55, 4.7 from 4,805 reviews. The certified guide is described as from the Barcelona Tourism Authority, and you meet inside the Ringels souvenir shop at Carrer de Mallorca 418, 15 minutes before the start. A reviewer liked meeting in a shop rather than organising in the crowd outside the entrance, and being free to explore at their own pace afterwards. The review summary notes some late tours did not deliver the full advertised time.

“The tour was good. Our guide was knowledgeable. We got to skip the line which made it easier to enter.” – GetYourGuide review
The towers are the main reason to pay more, and the listings are blunt about them: entry by lift, exit by stairs, and the basilica decides which tower is open. Children under 6 are not allowed up.
Julia Travel Gray Line Spain sells two Sagrada Familia tours. The $125 tour includes the one-way lift up a tower, a skip-the-line entrance and a guide, in standard groups of up to 30 in five languages, and it has 4.3 stars from 6,270 reviews. You meet at the Julià Travel office on Carrer de Sardenya 311. Reviewers like the guides, but two complain about the wait to get in, and one found the tower OK but expected more for the price. The $89 tour is the same company without the tower: 1.5 to 2 hours, 4.4 stars from 7,907 reviews, with a private option and a choice of two meeting points. A reviewer said the headsets clipped the guide’s voice when many groups were present.

A Sagrada Familia Tour From the Outside, With Barcelona
Artista-Tours is a different product. At $28 it is the lowest price here, for a 3 to 4 hour walk with a guided tour of the Sagrada Família exterior, a turrón tasting, and a route along Passeig de Gràcia and through the Gothic Quarter. The listing says the exterior option does not include entry to the Sagrada Família. It runs in seven languages and has 4.7 stars from 2,108 reviews. I would book it as a city walk. A reviewer says a papal visit that day kept the group away from the basilica.

“Poly was a wonderful guide who shared so many details with us that the ordinary, even though inquisitive tourist would miss. Excellent, thank you!” – GetYourGuide review
On the guides, yes. In the review texts I read, the praise goes to knowledge, enthusiasm and the way the guide handled the crowds. The complaints are practical: a meeting point that was hard to find, long waits at security, audio that cut out when many groups were inside, and a tower that did not live up to the price.
“When you see the crowds, you understand the importance of pre booking and arranging skip the line. excellent guide and what an amazing place.”
— GetYourGuide reviewer
I take that to mean the guide matters more than the operator, and that the meeting point matters more than most people think.
Guided Sagrada Familia Tour or Ticket Only?
The plain ticket I compared is the $38 entry with an audio guide app, covered on my tickets page. The cheapest guided tour with entry is $55, so the live guide costs about $17 more, and a tour such as 4 YOU Barcelona at $66 costs $28 more. The official site lists 26 euros for the basic ticket and 30 euros with a guided tour, which are in euros and not directly comparable. If you like to read as you go and have your slot, the audio ticket is enough. If you want the symbolism explained and the entry sorted in one booking, a Sagrada Familia tour is worth the difference.
Small Group, Private or Standard Sagrada Familia Tours
The listings show part of this. Julia Travel says its tower tour takes up to 30 people. Crown Tours, 4 YOU Barcelona and Special Plans offer small-group options, Julia Travel’s $89 tour lists a private option, and Amigo Tours and Artista-Tours list private ones. None of the listings gives a small-group size, so I would ask the operator or read the option title before booking.
How I’d Choose a Sagrada Familia Tour
First visit: Crown Tours at $60 or 4 YOU Barcelona at $66, the two most reviewed at 4.8.
Cheapest inside: Golden Tour Guide at $55.
Short on time: Tour in Barcelona at 75 minutes.
A tower: Julia Travel at $125 with the lift included, or Amigo Tours at $74 with the tower as an option.
Other languages: Artista-Tours in seven, or 4 YOU Barcelona and Julia Travel in five.
I think so for a first visit. The best-reviewed Sagrada Familia tour, 4 YOU Barcelona at $66, has 4.8 stars from 15,458 reviews, and reviewers praise the guide and the way the group is walked through security. The official site sells a basic ticket at 26 euros and one with a guided tour at 30 euros, so check that price before you pay a reseller more.
How long is a Sagrada Familia tour?+
Most last 1.5 hours. The Tour in Barcelona express tour is 75 minutes, Julia Travel's skip-the-line tour is 1.5 to 2 hours, and the Artista-Tours walk is 3 to 4 hours because it goes on to Passeig de Gràcia and the Gothic Quarter. A tower visit adds about 30 minutes on the Amigo Tours option.
Does a Sagrada Familia tour include the towers?+
Only one does in the price: the Julia Travel Gray Line tour at $125 includes the lift up one tower. Amigo Tours offers a tower as an option, and the other tours list the towers as not included. The listings say you go up by lift and walk down the stairs, and that the basilica chooses which tower is open.
Which Sagrada Familia tour is cheapest?+
The Artista-Tours listing starts at $28, but its exterior option does not include entry to the basilica. Among the tours that go inside, Golden Tour Guide at $55 and Crown Tours at $60 are the cheapest, both 1.5 hours in English with 4.7 and 4.8 stars.
Where do I meet the guide for a Sagrada Familia tour?+
It depends on the operator. 4 YOU Barcelona and Special Plans meet by the modernist lamp on Avenida Gaudí with a red flag, Crown Tours at Plaça de Gaudí, Golden Tour Guide in the Ringels souvenir shop at Carrer de Mallorca 418, and Julia Travel and Amigo Tours at their own offices.
Is there a dress code for a Sagrada Familia tour?+
Yes. The listings say it is a Catholic church: no tank tops, strapless tops, short shorts or sandals, and no hats in the nave or museum, except for religious or health reasons. Several also ask you to bring ID and warn that security can take 20 to 30 minutes in high season.
