The Eiffel Tower is open from 9 am, and the Eiffel Tower opening hours on Google Maps list midnight as closing time on every day of the week. That long window of Eiffel Tower opening hours is generous, and the Eiffel Tower opening hours that matter for your visit are the ones attached to your ticket, because every option I compared has a fixed meeting time. This guide covers the hours by day, the best time to go, how to get there and the rules at the gate. If you want the tickets, my comparison of Eiffel Tower tickets lists all 10 options with prices.
Eiffel Tower Opening Hours
Today, Saturday 7 November 2026, the Eiffel Tower opening hours per Google Maps are 9 am to 12 am. The week looks the same on every day:

The official Eiffel Tower opening hours sit on the operator’s site, toureiffel.paris, and that is the one to trust where it differs from Google. I tried to read it while preparing this guide and the page would not load for me, so I cannot give you the seasonal hours or the last lift times from it. Nothing in the data I have contradicts the Google times.
Eiffel Tower Opening Times
The Eiffel Tower opening hours on a ticket and on a map are not the same thing, and the difference is worth a minute. The Eiffel Tower opening times are 9 am at the start of the day, and the first slots on the tours are the ones to aim for. Several operators give a meeting time well before the tower: Mon Petit Paris asks you to arrive 15 minutes early and Crown Tours asks for at least 15 minutes before the activity start time. Blue Fox says the guide arrives 5 minutes before the tour.
Eiffel Tower Closing Time
Google lists the Eiffel Tower closing time as midnight, and Google rates the tower 4.7 from 500,188 reviews. That does not mean the lifts run until then. A closing time on a map is the tower’s gate time, and the last ascent is earlier. I could not confirm last-lift times, so for a late summit visit I would book a time slot through a listing and read the confirmation.
Eiffel Tower Operation Hours and Hours of Operation
The Eiffel Tower hours of operation are the same 9 am to 12 am in Google Maps on all seven days, which also answers the Eiffel Tower operation hours question for the days of the week. Seasonal changes, if any, are published by the operator, and a closure for a strike or a holiday is announced there first.
Is the Eiffel Tower Open Today
The Eiffel Tower opening hours on Google Maps show it open every day, so the answer for today is yes from 9 am, subject to the operator’s own notices. The Eiffel Tower timings that vary are on the operator’s site: check it on the morning of your visit, because the tower is a working structure and a staff action can close it.
Best Time to Visit the Eiffel Tower
The best time to visit is a question of queues more than of Eiffel Tower opening hours, because the tower is open all day and evening. The quietest time I can support from the data is early in the day. A reviewer of the Crown Tours guided visit wrote that they did the first tour at 9:30 in early October and there were no lines, while a reviewer of the Blue Fox tour wrote that at 28 degrees at 1 pm there was a huge queue. Another summer reviewer said the lines were very long after the security set-up changed.
For the season, the Open-Meteo data in the table below is for 2025 and shows what a month usually looks like in Paris. Sunset is when the tower is at its best for a late summit visit.

Eiffel Tower opening hours do not change with the weather, but the view does. Source: Open-Meteo historical weather, Paris, 2025. The sunshine column is the daily average for the month. In November the sun sets before 5:15 pm, so a 4 pm ascent catches the light and the lit tower together.
How to Get to the Eiffel Tower
The tower is at Av. Gustave Eiffel, 75007 Paris. The walking times below are my estimates from straight-line distance multiplied by 1.3 at 4.8 km/h. Bir-Hakeim and Passy metro stations are about 10 minutes away, Iéna about 12 and Trocadéro about 13. École Militaire is about 15 minutes, and the City Wonders listing names it as the nearest metro, on line 8. The same listing mentions the Champ de Mars stop of the RER C. For current lines and works, use the RATP planner.
Read your meeting point. Mon Petit Paris meets at 19 Avenue de la Bourdonnais, GetYourGuide France at 62 Avenue Suffren, Blue Fox at 1 Avenue de Suffren, Crown Tours at Allée Léon-Bourgeois, and City Wonders at the corner of Avenue Silvestre de Sacy and Avenue Elisée Reclus. The Madame Brasserie dinner uses entrance 1 (South) of the esplanade. None of these is inside the tower, and several listings tell you not to go to the tower first.
Things to Do Near the Eiffel Tower
The closest listing in my data is the Seine cruise that departs from the tower: the web-rate ticket is $20, rated 4.4 from 92,492 reviews, and lasts 1 hour. The Arc de Triomphe is 1.72 kilometres away on Google Maps, rated 4.7 from 302,289 reviews, and the Trocadéro metro stop is 0.78 kilometres from the tower. For the sights inside the area around the tower, see my Eiffel Tower map.
Eiffel Tower Dress Code
I found no dress code for the Eiffel Tower in my data, and I could not read the official page, toureiffel.paris, so I won’t invent one. What I can say is practical: Wikidata gives the height as 330 metres, the guide above mentions a security check at the esplanade, and you will queue outdoors, so I’d wear comfortable shoes and a layer you can add.
What to Know Before You Go
The rules at the gate matter as much as the Eiffel Tower opening hours, and the listings state most of them. Your own confirmation email is the document that sets your time, so keep it on your phone. The listings give the practical rules. Arrive on time: Mon Petit Paris says a booking is lost if you are late by even a minute, and Blue Fox treats a late arrival as a no-show. Most tickets cancel free up to 24 hours ahead, but Mon Petit Paris refunds 50% and Blue Fox is non-refundable.
Wikipedia says the stairs reach the first and second floors, about 600 steps to the second level, while the top is usually reached by lift. Expect a security check at the esplanade; a Blue Fox reviewer describes a smaller queue for guided groups. For bag rules, ID rules and the stair ticket price, I would read the official site, because I could not confirm them.
Check the Eiffel Tower opening hours against your slot, and the time to allow depends on the ticket: 1 to 1.5 hours for the City Wonders visit, up to 2.5 hours for the hosted tickets, and 2 hours for the first-floor dinner. A cruise from the foot of the tower adds an hour.

“This was magical. Our guide told us so many historical facts about the Eiffel Tower and then led us to where we could take photos underneath. Then explained the stops of the elevator. We really enjoyed this.” – GetYourGuide review
Google Maps lists the Eiffel Tower open 9 am to 12 am, every day of the week. The tower's operator publishes its own seasonal hours at toureiffel.paris, and I could not open that page from here, so treat the Google times as a guide and check the official site for your date.
What time does the Eiffel Tower close?+
Google Maps shows midnight as the closing time on all seven days. Last lift times are earlier than closing and are set by the operator, so I would check toureiffel.paris before planning a late summit visit.
Is the Eiffel Tower open today?+
Google Maps lists no closing day in its weekly hours, so it shows open every day from 9 am. Holiday closures and strikes are announced by the operator, so check the official site on the morning you go.
How long do you need at the Eiffel Tower?+
The tower visits I compared run 1 to 2.5 hours, the Blue Fox guided tour with summit takes 1.5 hours and the first-floor dinner takes 2 hours. For the tower alone, allow at least 1.5 hours, more if you add the summit.
When is the best time to visit the Eiffel Tower?+
From the listings, an early slot is the safest: a reviewer on the Crown Tours visit did the first tour at 9:30 in early October with no lines. Midday in summer is the busiest period described, with a reviewer reporting a huge queue at 1 pm.
How do I get to the Eiffel Tower by metro?+
By Google Maps, the nearest metro stations are Bir-Hakeim and Passy, about 10 minutes on foot by my estimate, and Trocadéro, about 13. Several tours meet away from the tower, so read your meeting point before you head to the tower itself.
